More on the 8 Week Workout

So as I mentioned before, my newfound motivation lies in the hands of the June edition of Men’s Fitness. I was flipping through the pages and found a perfect 8 week program that focuses on fat loss without muscle loss which was exactly what I wanted. At first glance, the workout for the first few weeks looks pretty laid back. One training day, five exercises, 6-8 reps each - I was so f*cking wrong.

I completed the first week of the training program (which was one day) last Friday. I got all the equipment I needed and moved it next to me so I can get to each one immediately (kinda selfish but I need move to each exercise without resting). After the first three exercises I was freakin’ done. Oh hell. When I hit the last exercise I was dying, I couldn’t believe those 5 exercises kicked my ass. Which sorta worries me for the last few weeks of the program because on some days I’ll need to do what I did on Friday, THREE TIMES in a row with 3 minutes of rest in between.

Looks like if I want to be able to get to all the machines like I did on Friday I’ll need to set aside some time in lieu of lunch to make it to the gym, because I’ll either need to get there really early (5-6am) or late (9-10pm) to get access to all the equipment I need without someone interrupting my flow.
